1 of the world’s premier protection/aerospace conglomerates is generating serious-time, integrated air control of multiple drones a reality.
At the recent Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Meeting in Abu Dhabi, Lockheed Martin introduced the start of VCSi, a application option that will allow multiple people to concurrently control dozens of drones in the course of a selection of surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
“VCSi is a secure and reputable application system that can be tailored to any vehicle – from just one you can maintain in your hand, to a 50,000-pound device from a vehicle that flies for a couple minutes, to a vehicle that flies for months at a time,” said John Molberg, enterprise development supervisor, Lockheed Martin CDL Systems. “The user can combine as a lot of autos as expected to entire their missions, such as boats, quadcopters, mounted-wing aircraft or even high-altitude pseudo satellites. Across professional or navy missions, VCSi is adaptable to the problem and further extends the energy of the human-device staff.”
The application operates with multiple vehicle varieties and can combine drone flights with boat and floor autos using a “fly-by-mouse” interface. Plug-in architecture will allow for tailor made written content across multiple platforms.
Lockheed Martin’s Drone Heritage
